Panel Session 4: Reliability Modeling and Health Management – in Memory of Prof. Wenbin Wang

Introduction

Reliability modelling is important for decision makings such as system structure optimization, system maintenance and inspection policy, etc. This session contains several theoretical and practical papers on system reliability, system safety, and maintenance strategies. All the contributors are grateful for the great contribution to reliability community by Prof Wenbin WANG, who was the dean in Donlinks School of Economics & Management, University of Science & Technology Beijing from 2011 to 2016. He was also listed as the number 1 highly cited Chinese scholar by Elsevier in the field of quality, reliability, and system safety. Though Prof Wang unfortunately passed away in Sep 2016 due to lung cancer, his research will be continued by not only his students but also the other people who are encouraged a lot by his achievements and devotion.
